What Readers are saying aboutHoly Murder: Polygamy's Blood.
Spencer gives an accurately chilling account of the mindset and the twisted culture of contemporary Mormon polygamy. Too often the topic is sugar coated so the outsider can swallow all that occurs with in the secret community of oppression and abuse.
Carmen Thompson
This is not a book for weak stomachs! Only a thoroughly researched and experienced ex-Mormon like James Spencer could have written it. Many of those mentioned in it are real people with verifiable histories. This novel provides a context for the bizarre twists and turns that Mormonism has taken over the years since it was introduced by Joseph Smith in 1830. It dramatically depicts the possible, even probable, events that may occur in the not-too-distant future and scenarios that the U.S. government and governments of other nations in this hemisphere will have to face. Dr. Dean Helland, Assistant Professor Department of Modern Languages Oral Roberts University When you first started talking about this book project, I thought you were getting distracted from your ministry to folks in the main group in SLC. I can see you feel very strongly about the polygamous element and the greater damage they're doing in areas mentioned? Good Job!
