I have twenty-five years experience living among and studying the people and events described in this novel. I know four of the sons of Ervil LeBaron, leader of the Church of the Lamb of God, who is responsible for the murders of some thirty devotees, including his own daughter. One of his sons, Heber LeBaron has become a personal friend since his imprisonment. Heber is doing four life sentences in federal prison for the infamous 4 O'Clock Murders.
